Reservations are made on a first come, first serve
basis. 50% of the total rental fee (excluding taxes)
is required as prepayment when booking a reservation. Prepayments made with credit cards are paid
at the time of booking the reservation.
Prepayments by check (mailed) will be given (7) seven business days to
reach our office. Reservations may be made through 2011, however rates may be subject to change. A twenty
percent (20%) prepayment is required on all 2011 reservations based on the
current rate. You will be notified by letter should the rate for 2011 change.
You will have thirty (30) days from receipt of your letter to contact our
office and confirm your reservation with your payment of thirty percent (30%). All new
reservations will not be confirmed and credit cards will not be processed until
a rental policy is received.
Please provide the total number of adults and
children in your group when making your reservation. Each property lists the
number it sleeps. This is maximum number
of persons who may occupy the rental property. The only exception is an infant
in a crib. Minimum
rental period is four (4) nights, unless otherwise specified. We try to
accommodate 2 and 3 night rentals on select
properties but no more than one week prior to arrival. (A cleaning fee is assessed on rentals less
than four (4) nights.) The balance of rent and taxes are due 30 days
prior to arrival. NO EXCEPTIONS. Payments
may be made in the form of Personal Checks(NSF Fee $50.00), Traveler’s Checks,
Cash, Money Orders, Visa, Master Card, or Discover. However, a valid credit card
number MUST be held on file before your reservation will be deemed confirmed. Rivard reserves the right to
charge the credit card, or cards, on file:
1) to reimburse expenses incurred
to repair damage, replace missing items or
replace furniture or Rivard linens soiled by suntan lotion products; 2)
to pay for extra cleaning; 3) to pay the unpaid balance on any rental charges
or other charges incurred and not otherwise paid for; or 4) for any other
charges incurred for violations of the Rental Policy as a result of your stay. In the event Rivard is
required to refer any of the foregoing charges to an attorney for collection,
whether or not suit is filed, Rivard will be entitled to recover from you its
reasonable attorney’s fees and costs incurred in securing payment. If you choose to pay by credit card, please
limit 2 credit cards per reservation. Rivard does not rent to vacationing
students or singles under 25 years of age unless accompanied by their
parents. A reservation obtained under
false pretense will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment, and/or rental
money. ABSOLUTELY NO PETS allowed in rental properties
or on the premises, unless otherwise noted. A (non-refundable) pet fee is required for properties that are listed
as pet friendly. You will be asked to vacate the property if
a pet belonging to you or a member of your party is sighted on the premises of
a non-pet friendly home during your stay and a $150.00 fee. Any evidence of a pet in your rental property
or on the premises will result in additional charges. All properties are NON-SMOKING. You will incur all charges
for carpet cleaning and deodorizing if evidence of smoking is found in your
“non-smoking” property. All weddings and
special events reserved at Rivard will be handled by
Destin Weddings and special events billparker@senatehospitality.com.
In addition to rent there will be a $557.50 ( including 11.5% tax)
non-refundable event fee payable to Rivard.
Check in time is between 4:00PM & 5:00PM CST, after inspection is completed to ensure
property is ready for occupancy, and subject to the availability of your
reservation. Unavoidable delays may occur
during peak season. Your patience will
be greatly appreciated. Please refer to
your confirmation for the detailed check in procedures. Check-out time is no
later than 10:00AM CST. No late departure requests will be granted
when summer rates are in effect. Late departures after 10:00AM will be charged appropriately. Upon
check-out, all debris, garbage, and discards must be placed outside in proper
containers. Place soiled dishes in
dishwasher and start dishwasher cycle. Property should be left in a neat
condition. Do not rearrange furniture in
your rental home. (Failure to follow the
check out procedures listed above may result in an extra fee, please adhere to
the instructions.) Keys must be returned
to the Rivard office to avoid a $25.00 replacement fee.
Rivard reserves the right to change rental property assignments
due to unforeseen maintenance issues or in the event the property is no longer
available or on our rental program. When
you confirm a reservation, a rental property will be assigned; however, no
property request is guaranteed. If an unavoidable change becomes necessary,
every effort will be made to notify you by mail, e-mail, and/or by telephone.
No compensation will be given for temporary outage(s) of
electricity, gas, water, cable, internet or telephone
service. Outages will be reported immediately and every effort will be made to
have them restored as soon as possible. The operation and maintenance of these utilities is completely
out of the control of Rivard of South Walton, Inc.
***DAMAGE
WAIVER PLAN***
As
a guest staying at a property managed by Rivard of South Walton, Inc. (“guest
is defined as the registered person signing below and all persons sharing the
same rental property during the same period of time”), you are a participant in
Rivard’s damage waiver plan, the cost of which is
included in your rent. By the guest
signing below, any claim for damages caused to the rental property by the
simple negligence of the guest, up to a maximum amount of Two Thousand Dollars
($2000.00) per rental period, will be waived by Rivard. Please be aware that Rivard’s obligations under this damage waiver plan and the
validity of the guest’s participation in the plan is contingent upon specific
conditions and is limited as follows:
CONDITIONS AND LIMITATIONS:
1.
All damage must be reported promptly to Rivard’s
staff when it occurs. Failure to promptly report damage to Rivard’s
staff voids this damage waiver.
2.
Rivard’s staff shall have sole administrative
authority of this plan and shall have the sole exclusive right to determine the
extent of repairs necessary as a consequence of guest’s negligence.
3.
The waiver does not apply to damages caused by the intentional acts of guest,
the willful conduct or misconduct of a guest, the gross negligence of a guest,
or any instance of theft, and Rivard reserves the right to recover from the
guest any damages resulting from any of the forgoing. By the guest’s signing
the hereunder, Rivard is authorized to charge the guest’s credit card for
any damages suffered as a result of
conduct or misconduct detailed in this paragraph.
4.
This waiver does not apply to damages/losses caused by pets or other animals
brought onto the rental property by the guest.
5.
This waiver does not apply to damages to, or losses of, property owned by or
brought onto the rental property by the guest.
6.
This waiver does not apply to any damages or claim of loss as a result of loss
of use of the rental property.
7.
This waiver does not cover damages from events in which thirty or more people
participate or are in attendance.
8.
This damage waiver becomes effective only upon check-in to a Rivard managed
property, and all benefits of this damage waiver plan terminate upon check-out
at the end of the guest’s visit.
Our
vacation rentals are individually owned and furnished. Please do not rearrange
the furniture, take any items outside that are part of the interior décor or
move any furnishing or kitchen items to another property. You will incur a
charge if the housekeepers have to rearrange furniture after your stay.
Rivard
of South Walton offers travel insurance to protect against unexpected
situations or circumstances that may result in a cancellation. Please contact Travel Guard directly for
refunds for all covered cancellations.
Please note: Rivard of South Walton does not issue refunds for
cancellations. We urge you to purchase
travel insurance to protect your vacation plans. By signing below you acknowledge that no
refund will be issued from Rivard of South Walton and that all cancellation
refunds are paid to the renter by Travel Guard.
